Drafts in the API

If you've connected your own AI agent to Pachca, like Claude Code, Cursor or something you built yourself, it can now save a message as a draft in the message field of the right chat instead of sending it right away. You review it and send it yourself. Scheduled messages are created the same way. You'll need a personal token with the drafts:read and drafts:write scopes. Drafts aren't available to bots.

Message a bot from a shared chat

You can now message a bot directly if you share a chat or channel with it: open its profile and click "Message". Previously, the bot had to be public or message you first.

Also new ✨

• If a message has several files, you can download them all at once with the new "Download all files" option in the message menu.
• Chats now have emoji avatars: a new chat gets a random emoji, and you can pick your own when creating the chat or in chat settings.
• Markdown documents with complex lists, quotes and code blocks now open and save without errors.
• Fixed standalone threads so they now open when you click them in "Favorites".
• Fixed duplicate drafts in threads and other bugs.

Quick reactions in calls

We updated the reactions panel in video calls. You can now send a quick reaction or raise your hand from a pop-up menu right during the call.

HTML previews

You can now view HTML files right in Pachca without downloading them. If the file doesn't render the way it looks in the original, Pachca will warn you.

Anchor links within the file now work too, so you can jump to the section you need right inside the preview.

Calls in threads

Need to talk it through? Start a video call right from a thread. You can also share the meeting link with teammates: while the call is on, it takes them to the current meeting, and after it ends, the same link starts a new one.

Outgoing webhooks for video calls

We added webhook events for automating video calls: meeting started, meeting ended and recording ready. Learn more on the Pachca developer portal.

Other improvements ✨

• Meeting links are shorter and easier to share.

• Fixed the "typing" status showing when no one was typing.

Import from Telegram

Workspace Owners can now import chats from Telegram into Pachca.

Contact support from the app

Reaching us is now easier. Your account has a new "Contact support" section with quick access to Telegram, MAX, VK and email.

We keep our developer portal up to date. We recently made it easier to navigate updates and the main sections.

A redesigned list of who read and reacted to a message

We redesigned the window that shows who read a message and who reacted to it: it's faster and has new tabs, list rows and empty states. You can also hover over a member to see when they reacted.

Keyboard shortcuts in global search

Switch between search tabs with Cmd/Ctrl + /, quickly pick the chat or message you need from the list and close global search without touching your mouse or trackpad. All shortcuts are listed at the bottom of the global search window.

Start a video call right from a profile

User profiles now have a dedicated video call button, so you can call someone in one click without digging through menus.

Public chats sorted by member count

The public chats section now shows chats with the most members first, making it easier to find useful chats.

For developers

We released an official n8n extension, added the ability to create users with the guest role through the API and much more. We post detailed announcements on our developer portal.

Also new

• Fixed robotic-sounding audio from participants in calls.
• Made the @all and @here system mentions consistent: they're now handled the same way.
• Fixed mention suggestions: new chat members now appear in the list right after they're added.

Forward multiple messages

On desktop and web, you can now forward several messages at once. Open a message's action menu, click "Select" and check everything you want to send to another chat.

Volume control in calls

We recently added the ability to adjust other participants' volume in a call. When a call starts, everyone is set to 100% by default, which is the actual volume of that person's microphone. From there, you can turn each participant down or up, so you can hear even your quietest teammates :)

Developer improvements

• Added a field to the docs that shows who invited a member to the workspace.
• Added support for tel links with extensions and strikethrough text for chatbots.
• Redesigned code blocks: the programming language and the wrap/copy buttons now sit in a small header so they don't cover the code, and the language is preserved when you copy within Pachca.

Also new

• Global search from 2 characters: search used to need at least three characters, now two are enough.
• Full-text search for group tags: if a tag has several words, mention search finds it by any combination of them.
• Stable input focus: it no longer resets when you create a chat or insert a hyperlink.
• A louder call ringtone: so you don't miss an incoming call.
• Lighter backgrounds and better noise suppression in calls: we reduced the load from virtual backgrounds and improved noise suppression.

Reactions, raise hand and virtual backgrounds in calls

Calls now support reactions and raise hand, with keyboard shortcuts (Alt+R, Alt+H), tooltips and notifications. Available now on web and desktop, coming soon to the mobile apps.

Virtual backgrounds moved to our own pipeline: better segmentation quality and screen sharing resolution, and backgrounds no longer reset when you switch tabs or cameras.

A major upgrade to our developer portal

• Official SDKs for five languages: TypeScript, Python, Go, Kotlin and Swift.
• Interactive playgrounds on the "Buttons" and "Incoming webhooks" pages: edit the JSON and see the result instantly.
• A visual form builder: add blocks from the palette, including date picker, time, dropdowns, radio buttons and checkboxes.
• New guides on bots, buttons, webhooks, unfurl bots and integrations with Albato and n8n.
• Request examples now show cURL + CLI + 5 SDKs.

New API capabilities

• Mention users by ID through the API: <@USER_ID>.
• Manage user avatars: sync avatars with your company directories through the API.
• Token scopes can now be edited without recreating the token.

• "Copy text" button: copies text with its formatting intact.
• A new emoji picker: built in-house, with virtualization, skin tone selection and sorting by how often you use each emoji.
• Markdown tables: insert tables from the toolbar, plus a button to copy the source Markdown in the editor and viewer.
• Choose a Google Calendar: you can now connect a specific calendar, not just your primary one.
• A new share screen and incoming call screen on Android (version 2.60).

Ringtones in video calls

You can now ring a teammate right from an ongoing call. Click "Invite to video call" and pick users or a tag, and they'll get a call with a ringtone.

The invite stays visible until the user joins the call or declines it.

For ringtones to work in the browser, allow pop-ups and redirects for Pachca.

Virtual backgrounds

You can now turn on virtual backgrounds. Pick a background before you join a call or during it.

You'll find the setting in the camera menu → "Virtual background".

Noise suppression and auto volume

Call settings now include noise suppression and auto volume. You can turn each one on separately in the audio menu.

Full-screen screen sharing

You can now expand a shared screen to full screen: hide the participants and enlarge the content for easier viewing.

Call participants

We updated the call participants tab. It shows users who are already in the call, people invited with a ringtone and members who posted in the call thread, even if they never joined.

Also new

• Markdown files. You can now create Markdown text files in a chat for instructions, task descriptions or formatted notes. Click the paperclip in the message field and choose "Markdown". You can open and read these files right in Pachca, no download needed.
• A clear "Devices unavailable" error. You'll now see a clear notification if your camera or microphone is being used by another app.
• Markdown improvements. Diff block highlighting and an option to turn off auto-formatting on paste.

Automatic thread subscriptions in direct messages

When you reply to a teammate's direct message in a thread, they're now subscribed to that thread automatically and won't miss your reply. No need to mention them anymore.

New workspace setting: "Who can use the API"

Users with the "Employee" role can now use the Pachca API to set up their own integrations and AI assistants. This is optional and only Administrators can turn it on: go to "Workspace settings" and select "Who can use the API" → "All members".

Docs for AI agents

We launched a dedicated docs page for AI integrations. Here's what's inside:

• Agent Skills: ready-made API workflows for Claude, Cursor and Windsurf
• Pachca docs in Context7 MCP: an MCP server with up-to-date docs for AI agents
• llms-full.txt: the entire API reference in one file that LLMs can easily digest
• OpenAPI spec for code generators (openapi-generator, Kiota, Orval) and agents that work with OpenAPI directly (GPT Actions)
• CLI: every API method is available as a terminal command, so agents can call them through the shell

New API capabilities

• Manage member statuses through the API, for example to set statuses automatically when people are on vacation or a business trip
• We added more events to the Audit Events API for logging workspace activity. See the API docs for details
• New methods for searching messages, chats and users through the API
• A CLI for working with Pachca

Fixes and improvements

• Fixed an issue where a black screen could appear during screen sharing in a call
• The call name now appears in the desktop apps' system menu (at the top of the screen) and in the browser tab title, so you can always see which chat the meeting is in, even after switching tabs
• Renamed a folder menu item: "Overview" → "Public chats"
• Fixed bugs you reported to our support team :)

How to change the language manually

• On desktop and Android: in your profile settings in Pachca
• On iOS: in your device settings. Go to Settings → "Apps" → "Pachca" → "Preferred Language" and choose the language you want

Private chats by default

New chats are now private by default. If you need a public one, select that option when you create it. This keeps the public chat list tidy and improves privacy, so a new chat doesn't accidentally become visible to every user.

Other improvements

• Improved automatic selection of microphone and audio devices in calls
• The call participant list now also updates when the active speaker changes during screen sharing
• Improved search in the API docs: it now supports a synonym dictionary, Russian morphology (stemming) and smart ranking by the number of matching words in titles and descriptions
• Fixed small bugs you reported to our support team :)

Say you're going on vacation for 2 weeks. You turn on "Away" mode in Pachca and add a note: "On vacation until March 25. For anything urgent, reach out to @Anna Ivanova".

• The note appears in your profile and mini profile
• When a teammate tries to @mention you in a chat, they'll see the note above the message field
• When a teammate tries to send you a direct message, they'll also see the note above the message field
• Even if you open Pachca, your avatar will show an orange indicator instead of the usual green one, a sign that you're officially away

How to turn on "Away" mode

You can turn it on in the status settings in your profile.

Other updates

• You can now send a test notification from "Notification settings" to check that push notifications work (Web/Desktop)
• We expanded the "Add users" API method: you can now add users to a thread, not just a chat
• Improved avatar quality

Updated chat member list

"Chat info" now shows more clearly who the chat's admins and creator are. A circle next to a name means the user was added to the chat via a tag and can't be removed from the chat separately from the rest of the tag. Click the circle to open the tag sidebar ;)

Better bot interactions in threads

@mentioning a bot in a thread subscribes it to the thread and makes it a full thread member: the bot sees every message and can reply to them. This lets you expand what your own integrations can do. We, for example, now create tasks in our task tracker right from threads.

Improved API docs and new methods

We gave the API docs a visual refresh. You'll find them at https://dev.pachca.com/

We'd love your feedback! The "Latest updates" tab already covers new methods that let you list reminders and view, edit and delete them.

Video calls

• In the new video calls, you can now join a call from multiple devices at once
• In the old video calls, we fixed an issue where call recordings weren't posted to the thread

Markdown detection

When you paste Markdown-formatted text into the message field, Pachca now offers to convert it to Pachca's own formatting.

Important: the new video calls are available to workspace members only for now. To invite external users, create a public call on the old video platform: click "+" next to global search. Inviting external users to the new video calls is coming in a later phase.

Scopes for personal API tokens

In "Automations → API", you can now choose which actions a personal token is allowed to perform. Create tokens with only the permissions you need for better security. New tokens are shown only once, and you can see when each token was last used.

Mini profile and user menu improvements

• Mini profile: It's now rectangular and easier to read, with a button to quickly call the user. It opens when you hover over an avatar in a chat or thread.
• User menu: Pops up when you click your avatar in the bottom-left corner. We made it easier to use and better organized.

A setting for opening external links

If you often open links from chats and are tired of the confirmation pop-up, check "Don't show for this domain". The confirmation won't pop up again.

Member count in group tags

When you mention a group tag, you can now see how many members it has. So you know exactly who you're pinging :)

"Unread messages" button fix

Fixed an issue where the "Unread messages" button in the sidebar stayed lit all the time. It now works correctly, including when you read messages on mobile.

Improvements not everyone will notice

• Improved subscription screen: added a panel with an estimated price, a picker for the number of users and a confirmation window after successful payment
• New public API method: "Bot event history". See the details in the "Latest updates" section of the API docs

Mention chats and bots

We keep improving mention suggestions, and they now include chats and bots. @mention a chat to point coworkers to the right place, or @mention a bot to add it to a thread, just like a regular user.

Link unfurling for chats and messages

When you share a link to a public chat or to a message in a public chat, it now gets an expanded preview. Before, you could only get this with our Unfurl bot.

Thread members

Threads now show their members, just like on desktop. You can see right away who's taking part in the discussion or following it.

Internal/external file access

You can now split your workspace into two zones for files: a secure internal zone and an external one. If you see a lock on a file and it won't open, this setting is on in your workspace, and the file becomes available only once you connect to the corporate network.

Only the Owner can set up the list of IP addresses for the secure zone, in Workspace settings. Requires the Corporation plan.

New mention suggestions

The suggestion list that appears when you type @ now opens faster and groups results by category: bots, system mentions and other types. It's easier to scan and quicker to pick the right recipient.

View active sessions

Every time you log in from a new device or browser, we save that information. Now you know exactly where your account is open right now. If you spot an unfamiliar location or a suspicious device, just end that session.

Older sessions may show up as Unknown. If so, we recommend logging out and back in to refresh the data

Forms for bots

We added forms, a tool for collecting data and kicking off automated workflows right from a chat. Forms collect structured data and pass it to external services. They're easy to set up for different use cases and help cut down on manual work in everyday operations.

Pinned thread

You can now pin a thread. It stays open when you switch between chats and remains docked on the right side of the screen until you close it.

Pachca is faster

We sped up the app: switching between chats and sections is now up to 30% faster. To get the changes, just log out and back in.

Better file handling

We kept tidying up how files work on Android:

• Uploading and sending files is more reliable
• Improved handling of some file formats
• Optimized how attachments display in chats

A new "About" screen

The screen with version info, terms and links is cleaner and easier to use, with everything in one place.

Smarter suggestions for user and tag mentions

When you mention a coworker or a group tag, the suggestion list now shows the best matches first. They're based on the users and tags in the current chat and the people you interact with most

What else we shipped but didn't mention in the changelog

API improvements

• Added a new "List chat members" method, an audit log and a separate Markdown version of the API docs. You can pass it to AI models so they better understand the details when writing integrations.

• Added filters to the "List chats" method, and the name of the reaction a user added to the outgoing webhook.

• The "Chat info" and "List chats" methods no longer return deactivated users

• Redesigned the chat info window. It's more minimal now, and rarely used options have moved to settings

• You can now enlarge a chat's avatar

• We keep working on cases where the Pachca app uses too many resources for some users, and shipped several fixes that may help

Mark a chat or folder as read

We added "Mark as read" to the chat actions menu, so you can read all messages at once and save time. The folder actions menu has it too: it marks every chat in the folder as read.

Search by file name

Global search in your workspace now finds files of any format by name. Just pick the "Messages and threads" search tab and type the first few letters of the file name.

Authorization for outgoing webhooks

Outgoing webhooks now get a unique secret token generated automatically. This lets your server accept requests only from trusted sources. Learn more here.

Support for new Universal Links

We added support for new Universal Links in "Reminders" and "Members". Links in these sections now open the apps you have installed.

Smoother home screen scrolling

The home screen now refreshes faster and scrolls more smoothly.

• When a message has several images, opening them shows a preview strip with all attached pictures.

Global search now has two tabs: chats, members and bots, and messages. We also improved search accuracy and ranking 🔍

We moved message indicators and statuses so text and files can use the full width of the screen.

Public bots

A bot's creator can now make it public in the bot settings. Once it's public, anyone can find the bot in global search and send it a direct message.

Bots can also set a unique avatar and sender name for each message they send. For example, you can build a bot that forwards new emails to a chat, with each message showing the real sender's avatar and name.

File compression

The desktop apps now compress the photos and videos you send, so files and chats load faster.

Want to keep sending photos at full quality? When sending, choose "photo or video", then just hold Shift while you drag files from your file manager into the chat :)

More accurate global search

We rebuilt global search for chats and members, and it now returns more accurate results.

Other improvements

We worked on the API and added:

• A changelog and feature overview to the documentation

• An OpenAPI description of the API

• Parameters for a user's last activity

• The ability to set image sizes in a message

• The message URL in outgoing webhooks and in the message object

• Updated the default member statuses. Everything is where it was, they're just more universal now: On vacation, Working, Available, Working remotely, Out sick, At lunch.

• Added bulk deletion of custom emoji

• Fixed a bunch of different bugs

Custom reactions

Custom reactions now show up in the app, and you can add yours to them.

Universal Links support

Links inside Pachca now open the apps you have installed instead of sending you to the browser. It works the other way too: a link to a Pachca chat, message or user profile in another app opens the Pachca app, not the browser.

Notification badge on the app icon

The desktop apps now show the total number of notifications across all workspaces you're logged in to right on the app icon. If you have several accounts, you won't miss a message.

Login changes

We removed sign-in with Google ID and Apple ID due to the new ban on foreign services. You can still log in with your Google, iCloud or any other email address.

Small improvements

• When you send a message from "Drafts", you'll see a confirmation window first.

• When editing a scheduled message, pressing Enter saves it and exits edit mode.

Plus a few more subtle fixes.

To schedule a message

• Open the chat and type your message in the message box
• Click the down arrow in the bottom right corner and choose "Schedule message"
• Pick the date and time you want it delivered

Scheduled messages appear above the message box in their chats and are stored in "Drafts".

Search chat members

The chat member list now has search. If you have big chats, it's easier to manage them and find your teammates.

A few more notable changes

• Added a "Tags" section to the chat member list, so you can quickly see every group tag added to the chat
• Added a new method to the public API for editing chat members' roles

Webhooks for workspace and chat membership changes

For example, when a new member joins the workspace, you can set up automations like welcome messages or adding them to tags. Or find out when a bot has been added to a chat and build that into your integrations.

• When you mention someone in a cross-chat thread, the "Add @mentioned people to thread" toggle is now on by default
• Added autocomplete for mentions in forwarded messages

Filter by sender

You can now search chats for messages from a specific person. Just pick the sender filter in search.

We merged "Chats" and "Members" into a single search tab. Results now show chats first, then members.

Links that unfurl

Link unfurling brings links from your work tools to life right in Pachca. When you post a link in a chat, Pachca automatically builds a rich preview with its title, description and image.

Tag it later

Added a new "No tag" filter to "Members" to make working with employee profiles easier. It works in both "Cards" and "Table" views.

Small but mighty updates

• Added a "Mark as unread" button to threads, even if the thread was already unread before you opened it
• Fixed duplicate chat names on the Threads page
• Link unfurling no longer kicks in if a message was sent without link previews

A new look for attachments

We redesigned how photos, videos and files look in messages. There's no separate button for sending images anymore, and when you send lots of photos or files, they appear in a neat grid

Restore chats from archive

You can now restore chats and channels from the archive. Open the archived chat, click the three dots and choose the action from the chat menu.

Deactivate workspace members

Need to remove someone from your workspace? Just deactivate them. They'll disappear from view and lose access to the workspace, but you can reactivate them at any time. Only the workspace Owner can now delete members.

Better file and link fields in profiles and Tasks

You can now reset file uploads, hyperlinks work properly and PDF files preview right inside a task or a member's profile.

Hi!

We've recently seen more attempts to brute-force account logins. Attackers take email and password pairs from public sources and try them on popular services, including Pachca.

That's why we're asking all users to log in again with a one-time code, which we'll send to your email when you log in. It's safer that way.

What else is new on mobile

• Redesigned member profiles. You can copy a profile link, open a colleague's avatar full screen and jump to a direct message.
• Redesigned profile settings. There's now a big avatar at the top, a button to quickly change your status and much more.
• Gave the technical screens more style. Changing your password and setting up 2FA should feel simpler.
• We also made a few less visible improvements and fixed bugs

File icons

Each file type now has its own icon and color. It looks nice and makes attachments easier to scan.

If a payment didn't go through for some reason, you can retry it yourself with a dedicated button.

• The "Save" button sometimes got hidden when cropping an avatar. Now it's always visible.

Visual cues

Your chat with yourself is labeled "You", and mention suggestions show who isn't a chat member yet.

Undo actions

You can now quickly undo unfollowing a thread. Just click the confirmation that pops up in the corner of the screen.

Statuses in search

Global search now shows members' statuses too.

Replies you'll notice

A reply to a message now shows up as a mention of its author.

Unfollow a thread

You can now unfollow a thread right from the Threads section. Hover over the discussion and click the bell in the top-right corner. The thread disappears from the list and you stop getting notifications from it.

Action confirmations

We added confirmation pop-ups for actions. For example, when you copy a message link, a confirmation pops up.

Crop your avatar

When you update a chat or profile avatar, you can now crop out the parts of the image you don't need.

View the last received webhook

You can now view the last webhook each bot received. Go to "Automations", pick the bot and open the "Incoming webhook" tab. You'll find a new button there.

Unread threads in real time

You can now work normally with the "Unread only" filter turned on in the Threads screen. Threads disappear from the screen as soon as you read them.

• Cross-chat threads from private chats are now clearly marked.
• Fixed a few small visual details.

Forward messages

You can now forward messages within Pachca. Forward to several chats at once. The message is sent on your behalf with all its attachments.

Easier bot management

We upgraded the bot list in integration settings. It now shows each bot's avatar and type, and you can search bots by name. Bot search also works when you add bots to a chat, and we made that interface easier to use too.

Outgoing webhook events

In bot settings, you can now choose which events the bot reports via its outgoing webhook.

• Pressing Enter while editing a bot's name prompted you to delete the integration. Fixed.
• When you mention a colleague in the first message of a thread, search now shows chat members first, then everyone else in the company.
• Changed the color of global search elements from gray to black.

Bots can create tasks

Bots can now assign tasks to people in your company. The tasks show up in the assignees' "Tasks" section.

Find members by nickname

You can now look up a member by their nickname. This helps when you need a user's full details but only know their nickname.

Tell bots apart from people

Member-related methods (except deletion) now have a new field that shows whether the user is a bot.

Get a tag's members

We added a new method that returns the current list of members assigned a specific tag.

Download files from messages

You can now get a direct temporary link to a file in a message. This works in all message-related methods (except reactions).

Links to messages in threads

You can now copy a link to any message inside a thread, not just to the whole thread.

Data sync after reconnecting

Previously, if you went offline and then reconnected, you had to refresh to get the latest data. On Android, you no longer need to: everything updates automatically (coming soon to iOS).

Our latest updates brought lots of desktop improvements. Here's how to get the new apps and what we improved:

How to update

• If you haven't updated yet, download the latest version of Pachca under "Download apps": click your profile in the bottom left corner.
• After installing the new version on macOS and Windows, be sure to remove the old one manually.
• The current desktop version is 1.5.0 (you can check it in your profile, in the bottom right corner of the page).

What we improved

• We optimized the code and virtualized the message list. As a result, Pachca runs 4x faster and no longer puts a heavy load on your computer.
• We adopted the Web Push API, which made notification delivery more reliable and faster. Notifications arrive even when the app has been running for a long time and isn't in focus. They're also clickable on every platform now: clicking one opens the right chat in Pachca.

We also added new notifications for reactions and tasks. You can turn them on in settings.

Clickable notifications on Windows

Clicking a push notification now opens Pachca on Windows, not just on macOS and Linux. For now there's one limitation: the notification is only clickable before it moves to the notification center.

More updates

• Hiding direct messages is simpler: we now ask for confirmation only the first time.
• Added new attachment icons based on file type. Previously, the image icon was always shown.
• The sidebar now remembers the size you set.
• You can now find your web and desktop app versions in your profile, in the bottom right corner. The web version comes first, the desktop version second (in parentheses).
• Fixed the layout of the pinned message block, which used to get squished vertically.

Where to get the new desktop apps

Find them under "Download apps" by clicking your profile. We changed the macOS and Windows app names from Latin to Cyrillic, so after installing the new version you'll need to remove the old one manually. From then on, Pachca will update in-app, with nothing to download.

Payment reminders

We added in-app reminders about upcoming payments, plus a grace period if you can't pay on time.

A new chat creation window

You now choose between a chat and a channel in a single window. New chats are public by default.

Faster folder scrolling while moving chats

The folder list in the left sidebar now scrolls when you drag a chat toward the top or bottom of the list.

Smaller but important fixes

• Brought back the copy link button in chats.
• Refreshed the look of the remove member window.
• Clicking the chat name in a thread header now takes you to the right message. The "Back" button now works correctly.
• You can now remove all files while editing a message.
• Removed the button for removing a chat member from a tag.

Chat info

You can now use the API to get a chat or channel's name, member list and other info. The method works for chats the user or bot belongs to, plus all public chats and channels in the company.

More bot capabilities

Bots can now get the list of chats they've been added to, as well as all public chats and channels. Bots can also create chats and add members and tags to them.

More message details

You can now check whether a message is a reply and get the ID of the message it replies to. You can also tell where a message was sent (a chat or channel, a direct message or a thread) and get the matching ID.

More ways to send messages

You can now send a new message as a reply to another message. We also added the option to send messages by thread ID.

Smooth message sending

We added animations for message actions: sending, receiving and updating.

Key fixes

• No more flickering in chats.
• You can now share images from Pachca to Telegram.
• Telegram account links in profiles couldn't be opened. Fixed.
• Fixed a delay when sending the first message to a thread.
• Fixed opening an image from the parent message when the thread has no messages yet.

Drafts stay in the message field

No need to worry about losing a message you were writing when the app restarts or you switch to another screen.

Background updates for the Google Play version

Downloading an update from Google Play no longer blocks the app from launching. It now happens in the background.

Reliable notifications

No matter how long your desktop app has been running or what state it's in, you'll always get notifications about new messages.

Other improvements

• Pachca recently started splitting long messages into several. Sometimes the split broke up words and paragraphs. Fixed.
• Removed extra line breaks when copying message text.
• Reactions and statuses sometimes showed a different emoji than the one that was set. Fixed.
• Fixed an error when deleting a custom field in a member's profile.
• After you change your email in your profile, the updated info now shows up right away.
• Added a no-connection warning when the desktop app launches offline.

Opening links

Links in Pachca chats now open straight in the matching app if it's installed on your device, instead of in the browser.

The most noticeable fixes

• Permission changes in a chat now show up instantly, without restarting the app.
• The integrations tab is now always visible in chat settings.
• Messages from one thread no longer show up in other threads by mistake.
• You can once again take actions on comments you just sent.
• Fixed joining public chats. It's now more stable and smoother.
• Fixed a few issues with dynamic fonts on Android. Everything works as it should now.

Unread message badge

The Pachca app icon now shows only the number of messages from chats and threads you haven't muted, not every unread message.

Plus some fixes

• Chats with fewer than 30 messages wouldn't open offline, even when they were cached. Fixed.
• Fixed the reply button inside threads, which stopped working after you long-pressed someone else's message.
• Fixed screen flickering when you react to a message.
• Improved stability.

A smarter unread counter

The Pachca desktop icon used to count every unread message. Now it only counts messages from chats and threads you haven't muted.

No more empty squares instead of reactions

The app remembers its window

Pachca desktop apps now remember the window size and position on your screen when you reopen them.

You can now install Pachca on any Linux distribution.

Bug fixes: the most noticeable ones

• Permission changes in a chat now show up instantly, without reloading the page.
• Fixed how strikethrough text looks in Safari.
• Fixed an issue with clicking popups in some desktop versions.
• Fixed an error when opening Favorites on the web.
• Messages weren't always marked as read when you had several Pachca tabs open in your browser. Fixed.

You can now pause all notifications for a set amount of time. You can also choose which notifications you get and when.

For example, only direct messages and mentions on weekdays, or every message and every comment on any day. You can set up notifications in the "More" section.

A refreshed "Threads" page

You can now filter to unread threads using the button in the top right corner. You can also mark all comments as read at once: the "✓" button is in the top right corner too and shows up when there are new discussions.

Two small but important fixes

• Fixed an issue where threads weren't being marked as read.
• Fixed a bug that prevented adding a link to text containing parentheses.

Better webhooks

Outgoing webhooks now work from threads, not just chats. The payload also includes more data (we updated the hint in the "Integrations" section). Next up: outgoing webhooks for edited and deleted messages, plus the option to trigger them from any message, not only ones with commands.

What's new on the "Threads" page

You can now open a thread by clicking the parent message or any comment. We also polished the quick mark-as-read and go-to-thread buttons so they're easier to spot and look cleaner.

Other improvements

• Fixed an issue where files wouldn't send until you restarted the app.
• Copying from PowerPoint and Outlook sometimes pasted an image instead of text. Fixed.
• Older threads didn't always load when you scrolled the "Threads" page quickly. That no longer happens.
• The chat name now comes first in the browser tab title.
• Removed unnecessary flickering on the app's first launch.
• Strikethrough text looked off on some systems. Fixed.

Copy images

You can now copy any image by right-clicking it.

Spell check

Mistakes and typos are now underlined in red. Right-click to see suggested fixes (they depend on your system settings). We also added a "Search the web" option.

Plus a few small improvements

• Fixed an issue where switching the keyboard language took focus away from the message input.
• cmd/ctrl + f now opens global search across the workspace.
• You couldn't close the card linking window on desktop. Fixed.

Offline access

You can now open Pachca without an internet connection and read past conversations saved in the cache.

Bug fixes

• Links in messages sometimes didn't open. Fixed.
• Fixed a bug where tapping an image opened the wrong one.
• The list of people to mention didn't always show when you tried to mention someone in a thread. Fixed.

The formatting tips now include a list of keyboard shortcuts (the "Aa" button in the message input).

Mark threads as read faster

On the "Threads" page, you used to have to open each thread to mark it as read. Now you can do it on the same screen with a single "✓" button (it appears in the top-right corner of a thread when you hover over it). We also added a separate "Add comment" button.

Read all threads at once

You can now mark all unread threads as read in one click.

Jump from a thread to its chat

Clicking the chat name in a thread now opens the chat outside a modal, and the thread stays on screen.

Button tooltips

Some buttons now show tooltips on hover. For example, the buttons in the message input, in the top-right corner of a chat, in the sidebar and more.

Smooth message sending

We added an animation when you send a message.

Small improvements

• Search now finds deleted members and chats with them.
• Hovering over the send button opens a window with send options. Messages used to be sent automatically when you changed this setting. Fixed.
• You no longer get notifications about new messages in a chat you already have open.
• The name of the current chat now shows in the browser tab and in the desktop app's title bar.
• Removed extra flickering on the "Threads" page.
• Fixed an error where deactivated users could show an online indicator.

Add links with a shortcut

Select text in the input field and press ctrl/cmd + shift + U to add a link to it.

"What's new" right after an update

The "What's new" window sometimes appeared a while after you updated, or even before. Now it always shows up on time, right after the update :)

• Global search now automatically selects your previous query, so you can quickly type a new one or add to the old one.

• Worked on an error when sending messages.

• Fixed a few visual bugs in search in the "Members" section.

Resend an email invitation

If you invited someone and they haven't accepted for some reason, open their profile card and send the invitation again.

Transfer workspace ownership

The person who created the company account in Pachca automatically becomes the workspace owner. You couldn't change the owner before, but now you can transfer ownership.

Jump to unread

Clicking the "Unread messages" indicator now scrolls the left sidebar to the first unread chat or folder.

Filter on the threads page

A new toggle lets you see only unread threads.

Integrations for everyone

Every user can now create chat bots that send them notifications from their work tools.

New desktop app release

You can now copy and save with a right-click. The release also brings new logos and lots of fixes. For example, PDF files now open without issues.

Hidden counters

If you mute a chat, it no longer shows a message count, just a small gray dot. Nothing extra.

Formatting tips

The message input now has a formatting icon. Click it to see how you can style your text.

Syntax highlighting

Reading code and spotting mistakes in it is now much easier. Just wrap your code with ``` on separate lines above and below. You can set the language right after ```, for example ```js.

Better text formatting

Formatting now keeps line breaks and spaces and no longer breaks how lists display.

New message input

It works better across different types of chats. You can attach images or files to a message, pick an emoji or mention someone.

Small but important improvements

• Users who log in with SSO can no longer change their first name, last name or email. All their details sync via SSO.
• The desktop app now fully reloads the page when you log in, so you'll run into fewer errors.
• We adjusted contrast in the light theme.

Hi there. This is our new "What's new" window. We'll show it whenever new features land in Pachca.

You can switch themes in your profile settings. It's coming to iOS soon.

Threads page

Threads now have their own page. It works the same as the button next to your profile did before, but a separate window is much more convenient to work in.

Call duration

When a call ends, you get a message with its duration. It's interesting to know, and it also shows whether the call was a misdial or a real discussion.

Better search

You can now find people in global search. Search in chats and channels now accounts for periods, underscores and other symbols.

Message editing

You can now edit your messages at any time. Previously, there was a 24-hour limit.

Code highlighting

Inline code inside lists is now highlighted.

Important fixes

• Only the workspace creator can now edit the workspace creator's profile.
• With several folders open, clicking "+ Create" inside one of them opened several menus at once, and none of them worked. That's fixed.
• "Reply to message" now works for people who weren't members of the thread.
• If someone replied to a message and then deleted their reply, the deleted message still showed the quote block. Fixed.
• Fixed an error when adding members and updating their details.
• In some browsers, you couldn't add a reaction to the last message in the list. Now you can in every browser.

Message links

You can now share a message with a private link. You can also copy a link to a thread.

Profile updates

Profile pictures are now big and beautiful. To make experimenting stress-free, you can now delete your picture, and there's a new "Save changes" button.

Bug fixes

• The folder menu used to disappear when you moved the mouse away from the folder. It now stays open.
• A task's due date used to overflow its block when the sidebar and menu were open. We fixed that.
• We also fixed a scroll jump when opening the thread sidebar.
