Ways to organize your work chats so you never get lost in them again
Pachca chats hide plenty of secrets for getting work done. Here are a few ways to organize your work chats so you never get lost in them again.
In Pachca, you can group chats into folders to keep your workspace neat and easy to use. For example, create a folder for inactive chats you barely use, so they don't take up much space in the sidebar.
Emoji in names help you find the right folders and chats faster. On a Mac, open the emoji picker with Control + Command + Space and add an emoji right in the folder or chat name. On Windows, open the emoji picker with Win + . (period).
It shows only chats with new messages. Once you've read everything, the folder empties. You can turn on the Unread folder at any time:
- Click the three dots next to any folder
- Click Add new folder
- Click Add on the blue banner
You know the feeling: a teammate sent you a screenshot or file, but you can't remember when. If you filter the chat to show only attachments, you'll find the screenshot faster. Filters let you search the whole chat, only messages with links, any attachments or pinned messages. Even without a search query, filters help you separate the type of messages you need from everything else.
Every chat has a public note: the green icon in the top-right corner. Any chat member can save important info there for the whole chat. For example, use it to describe the chat for new members.
If your direct messages have piled up, you can hide them. Just hover over the chat you want to hide and click the X. The chat doesn't disappear for good: it shows up in the list again if the other person messages you, or if you find the chat in Browse and send a message yourself.
