#PachcaSecrets: threads

Threads are what our users love most. Here's everything you need to know about threads to get things done in Pachca.

1. Cross-chat threads

If you @mention someone in the comments under a message, they can reply to you even if they're not a member of the chat.

We covered our threads in more detail in this post.

2. Follow a thread

🔔 5 ways to get notified about new comments on a message:

• Right-click the message and select Follow thread. This way you can follow a thread in advance, even before anyone has commented on the message
• React to the message whose new comments you want to see
• Post something in the thread
• If people comment on your message, you'll get notifications about their comments
• If someone @mentions you in a thread, you'll get notifications from it, too

🔕 How to stop getting notifications about new comments in a thread:

• Right-click the message you no longer want notifications for and click Unfollow thread

3. Mark one thread or all threads as read

Mark a thread as read with one click on the ✓ button (it appears in the top-right corner of the thread when you hover over it). Or mark all threads as read by clicking Mark all as read in the top-right corner of the page.

4. Link to a message in a thread

Copying a link to a message in a thread works just like it does for regular messages: hover over the message in the thread → click the three dots → Copy link.

5. Follow a thread in a public chat you haven't joined

In Pachca, you can get notifications about comments in threads in public chats, even if you're not a member. The easiest ways to do it are to click Follow thread or react to the parent message.
