Need to find a colleague to ask about your tasks, or just out of curiosity? This article is for you.
Here are a few tips for finding a colleague faster in different situations. Pachca has two main tools for this: global search and the Members section.
Global search in the sidebar is the quickest way to find a colleague you already know. If you're looking for someone you don't know, the Members section works better: it shows cards with large photos and lets you filter the list of colleagues. Learn more about this section in this article.
Find the person you were told to contact about a task
Open Members → switch to table view → type their name, email, job title or department in the search bar.
Figure out who the new colleague on the call is
Open Members → switch to card view → type their name, email, job title or department in the search bar → compare the profile pictures on the cards.
See who's new at the company
Open Members → switch to card view → filter by Date added → Newest first.
Find managers you don't work with directly
Open Members → switch to card view → type a department (your own, for example) in the search bar → scroll through the cards. The job title appears under each person's name.
Find someone you know who joined your company
Open Members → switch to card view → type their name, email, job title or department in the search bar → look through the cards for someone who looks familiar.
The same steps help you see who's speaking at an internal conference or learn about a colleague when it feels awkward to ask in person.
